Description of Ensembles for the 2025-2026 Season–
September 2025 to April 2026:
Non-Auditioned Program for K-2nd Grades (Register below):
Primary Singers (Non-Auditioned K-2nd Grades, Treble Voices) ~ Primary Singers meets on Tuesday evenings 5:45-6:30 in two seasonal sessions during the season. (Fall/Winter: October 28-mid December 19, 2025 with A Christmas Festival Concert performance & Winter/Spring: March 3-May 3, 2026 with a Pops Concert performance.) Non-Auditioned, K-2nd grade beginning treble ensemble. Register below!

Auditioned Programs for 3rd-12th Grades (Schedule an audition below):
Treble Choir (3rd-6th Grades, Treble Voices) ~ Treble Choir meets on Tuesday evenings 5:30-6:30. 3rd-6th grade treble ensemble. 3rd-5th Grade Singers are ONLY in Treble Choir. 6th Grade Singers in Treble Choir must also participate in Bel Canto.
Bel Canto (6th-8th Grades, Intermediate Treble Voices) ~ Bel Canto meets on Tuesday evenings 6:30-7:30. 6th-8th grade intermediate treble ensemble. 6th Grade Singers in Bel Canto must also participate in Treble Choir. 7th & 8th Grade Singers in Bel Canto must also participate in Chorale.
Chorale (7th-12th Grades, SAB/SATB Mixed Voices) ~ Chorale meets on Tuesday evenings 5:30-6:30. 7th-12th grade sopranos, altos, tenors and basses. 7th & 8th Grade Singers in Chorale must also participate in Bel Canto. 9th-12th Grade Singers in Chorale must also participate in Chamber Singers.
Chamber Singers (9th-12th Grades, SATB Mixed Voices) ~ Chamber Singers meets on Tuesday evenings 6:30-7:30. 9th-12th grade sopranos, altos, tenors and basses by audition. Ensemble size may be limited at the discretion of the director. 9th-12th Grade Singers in Chamber Singers must also participate in Chorale.
Ensemble offerings are based on singer auditions. All ensembles rehearse for one hour on Tuesdays in the 5:30-7:30PM timeframe. Ensemble offerings are finalized by September 1, 2025 based on singer enrollment.
Additionally, auditioned ensembles will include the following:
- Performance Opportunities: Fall Concert, A Christmas Festival Concert, Spring Concert and Pops Concert (Additional performances may be booked during the season and LYC hopes to provide two weeks or more advanced notice if/when these bookings occur.)
- Vocal/Music Development Instruction (singing technique, vocal health, sight singing, rhythm skills and more!)
