Founders Breakfast, May 19, 2016, 7:30 AM at the University Club
We honored our founders – Italo Taranta, Robert Whitney and Melvin Dickenson – with the naming of the LYC library during this breakfast. Remarks were made by our 50th Anniversary Chair, Debbie King, Dean Christopher Doane, University of Louisville School of Music, with special performances by LYC alumnus Krista Heckmann. Our founders were all employed at the University of Louisville School of Music when they began Louisville Youth Choir, so it was our pleasure to return “home” and celebrate this milestone with the support of Univeristy of Louisville School of Music and the Community Foundation of Louisville.
Thank you to all that attended this celebration of our founders! Stay tuned for photographs from the event!
